RFID - Small F190 UHF Read/Write Head Is Making a Big Splash

Increasing process efficiency with UHF technology

F190 UHF read/ write head
The F190 UHF read/write head comes with several unique features like multitag reading and a selectable read range

When using UHF technology for identification, a distance of one to two meters between the read/write head and the tag is often perfectly sufficient for practical applications. The F190 UHF read/write head has been developed for these distances.

Its sturdy metal housing with encapsulated electronics makes the F190 largely insensitive to external influences. The read/write head is ideally suited to withstand harsh environments. With dimensions of just 11 cm x 11 cm, the compact UHF read/write head is easy to install. The F190 is not only compact, it also increases efficiency. The F190 reads up to 40 tags simultaneously, ensuring a significant reduction of lead times.

Multitag reading for intralogistics and automotive industries

Multitag reading guarantees reliable identification of all data in a single reading, and transfers the data to the control unit in intralogistics applications like picking in high-bay warehouses.  When used in transportation for truck access control, the new F190 UHF read/write head ensures smooth and fast processes.

It also delivers an impressive performance in the automotive industry. When multitag reading painted car parts, a rack with several body components can be detected in a single read, and the data is transferred to the central production control system.

Easy to use

The read/write head is not just efficient and hardy. It automatically optimizes the transmission power and frequency bands during the reading process, guaranteeing the best possible reading. Following its successful launch in Europe, the versions for the American and Asian markets have been announced for the first quarter of 2014.
